About the product
This tour takes you to a crystal clear waterfall cascading down the mountains ,hidden in the hills behind Puerto Plata and only known by the local people living in the area.
We will start by transporting you with our safari truck to the old mountain road connecting Puerto Plata with Santiago which slowly climbs and meanders up the mountains with hair spin bends and fantastic views over the ocean dotted with small local farms, amber and larimar mines and an abundancy of coconut palm trees, sparkling rivers and tropical flowers.
Stepping of our truck we will find our horses saddled up and gently they will take you through the lush green fields, through river beds, crossing meandering small streams and you will smell, feel and really live the nature and the slow pace and peace outside of the big city life. Upon arrival at the waterfall jump in and swim in the sparkling clean water, let it cascade over you, sunbathe on the rocks and come alive! Soft drinks and water and a snack are provided for and we also make a stop at a typical Dominican Colmado ( = grocery store ) then too soon its back to Puerto Plata but with unforgettable memories to take home.
